The production of official mortality statistics corresponds to the National Institute of Statistics (INE). In turn, and based on the INE's mortality data, the National Epidemiology Center prepares detailed analyzes of cancer mortality in Spain and interprets it. For this reason, it is not the function of REDECAN to make estimates of mortality for the current year, and even more so when, due to its own characteristics, the time interval between deaths and obtaining mortality results is not very high.
However, REDECAN can carry out specific studies on cancer mortality for one or more types of cancer. In this case, the studies carried out would be included in this section of the Web.
